Yesterday I was helping Carson earn his Bear rank for scouts. We were working on his "God" section, talking about faith. We had talked about it previous, but I felt there were a few things we needed to go over, so I thought I had picked up the conversation where we had left off. We were talking about historic people who have shown great faith and have set good examples. I then asked him to name some people who stood out to him. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr, were just a few he said. I was so proud until he blurted out "John Wayne"!! I won't tell him he was a drunk. I'll just let him remember John as a good 'ol cowboy! Yeah, I guess I can see some faith there!
