We were all sick this year for New Year's Eve, so we decided to get away- just our fami
ly. By get away, I meant we drove to Pocatello to a hotel! Our plan was to find a hotel with an indoor pool and just be lazy. BAD PLAN. We did find a hotel with a pool, and we were lazy, but it didn't go just as planned. The water in the pool was warm, but the heater in the room with the pool was broken. It was so cold that our hair froze and the windows were covered in ice!! Also, every other kid in Pocatello was playing in the same poo
l! That night, Weston was so stuffy that he cried until about 11:00 p.m. Our neighbor kept banging on the wall, even though there were several parties going on around us until about 2:00 a.m., and we forgot a cooler to put the cheeseball and sparkling cider in! LOVELY. All in all, it will be a memory for us to have, but next year we may have to tweak our plans a little!
