Happy Halloween! (three weeks late!)

Okay, so I'm not the perfect blogger. I've actually had these pictures since Halloween, but haven't put them on the computer until today! Halloween was perfect! No snow this year, so the costumes didn't have to be stretched over winter coats! It was cold, however, so in some of the pictures you can't even see costumes! I also liked that the cold air put a little pink on Brooklynn's nose and cheeks! No makeup required on my behalf! Carson was a hunter-go figure! He didn't have his gun with him, because he couldn't have it at school, and then he didn't want to carry it with him in Pocatello! Colton was a ninja. I think he just liked the tight spandex, but don't tell Luke. He had to wear sweats underneath, though! Brooklynn was my little bunny. She about died of heat at the costume parade at school. She was so sweaty!

Colton's preschool party was first. They did a pumpkin walk, bean bag toss into a cauldrin, and a pinata. They also decorated cookies and had punch.

Later that afternoon, we had the school costume parade. For those of you who have never seen the Mountain View Elementary costume parade, it is fun, fun, fun! EVERYONE who lives in the Marsh Valley area comes, old and young. It doesn't matter if you have a child, niece, nephew, grandchild, or anyone at all in the school, EVERYONE comes. The adults line around the outside of the gym, and the students sit in classes around the parents. Mr. Wheat, the principal cranks up the music and "gets the party started"! One by one, each grade parades around the gym, dancing and showing off their costumes. Then, when each grade is done, Mr. Wheat invites parents to join their kids. We dance and have fun until it's time to go to the kid's classes for individual parties. It sounds so cheesey, but it is really fun. The kids are always talking about it!

After school we went to Poky with Gretch and Mitch. We trick or treated in Old Town and at the mall. That's where Carson, Colton, and Mitch, the Royal Guard (my nephew) got their picture taken with Spider Man! I actually think he was just a parent, but the kids didn't care one bit!
On the way to mom and dad's, Brooklynn fell asleep in Mitch's old carseat. Luke had the truck with her carseat in it! In the end, the kids made out with too much candy and all fell asleep before we got home! Great day!!!
