Yesterday was a sad, sad day at the Foster home. The boys were outside riding around on the four-wheeler with their new dog, when a truck went by. The dog ran into the road just as the driver's wife followed him in a car. She hit Champ before she even realized our black lab was in the road. My boys saw it all. How awful would that be? My boys were devastated. They sobbed for nearly an hour before Luke could distract them and help get their minds off of everything.
The husband and wife stopped, feeling horrible, and took the limp body away for us. They really were nice and felt horrible. Needless to say, we will NOT be getting a new dog until we move, and who knows when all of that will be!

That is so sad. What a horrible event to have to witness. You'll have to get another dog so they can try to erase seeing champ die. Orrin still talks about his dog Trooper. He like found him dead one day after school or something like that. I say, if you don't get an animal then you won't have to be sad when it dies. I'm not an animal lover.
